Lolita Blog Carnival: Lolitas Around The World Who Inspire You?

Hello!
Finally there is a new LBC theme, that I allways wanted to do.
I like to collect great lolita coords on my tumblr, to stay inspired, but there are some girls, that can amaze me with every single outfit. They are/or were more active on internet comms, so I have the chance to follow them for some  time and adore them like a good stalker. :D I have a lot of favourite lolitas, and it was pretty hard to choose only few of them. All of the girls you will see in this article are masters in coordinating. Most of their´s outfits are "matchy matchy", and that is pretty much my cup of tea. Also most of them are classic lolitas or can do a great one, while they can wear sweet, punk or gothic the other day.

Katzixx
I discovered her in my best lolita period 2011-2012. She was great at coordinating and she had very similar taste. Lots of flowers in hair and mostly classic wardrobe. Also she had almost every dress I ever wanted... :D And hey look at that rebelion with her short hair. It´s great!
I really adore her. There is still her blog on tumblr with many great photos of her coords.
RIP

Fanny Rosie
She is the most elegant and ladylike lolita I know. I don´t know if it´s because of the absence of wigs or that she propably follow the rule "less is sometimes more", that is not very popular in lately lolita trends. Longer skirt and vintage(-like) blouses also works great to highlight the elegance. She is my biggest inspiration right know, when full lolita is not what I want to wear for daily basics, but I still want to have some historical feeling in my style.

Zeruda
She was my biggest inspiration in 2010-11. She taught me the trick with matching underskirts and how brilliant it looks. She did not wear lolita fashion anymore, more like otome/dolly kei if I had to choose some style. But her style is still great with lot of lolita inspiration.

Ophelia Violetta
This girl is my dear friend. And she is a chameleon. She can look great in a waste bag, I am not kidding! It´s fun to try predict in what substyle of lolita she´ll arrive to a meetup, noone ever know for sure. :D She is a great example, that you can wear whatever you want if you know how.

What about you? Do you have a favourite lolita?

Lolita Blog Carnival: Nature Themed Coodinate

Hi my dear readers!

I am here with another Lolita Blog Carnival post. Finally some theme that was interesting for me.
Even if it is quite tricky... How to do a nature lolita outfit and don't look like mori kei or dolly kei? I was thinking about it for some time and ended up with an idea to make coords inspirated by seasons of the year and how the nature change during them.

Starting with spring and summer my favourite seasons. :)
For spring outfit I chose Antique pansy OP from Innocent World. I love that dress, there are so not enough dress with flowers different from roses it's almost boring.... still I love roses and prints with them, I just think that there is plenty of other flowers that would be magnificent on lolita dresses. Pansies are beautiful spring flowers!

Summer is full of tasty berries so it was easy to pick the dress for this season. It's Berry Shower Sundress from Mary Magdalene. I think it's theirs most flashy dress, they ever made. Still very nice and not with such sweet feeling like most of dresses with berry prints are.

Bold and earthy are colours of autumn. So this Mary Magdalene Chocolatier JSK made of gobelin and velveteen fabric match perfectly. Like a bonus some awesome orange-ish flower headpiece with two small birds.

Light chiffon fabric is like a snowflake. I adore this Victorian Maiden Chiffon Petal Ribbon dress and absolutely love this light grayish blue colour. So perfect for winter coord. I put it together with some soft white fur items.

Lolita Blog Carnival: Your Favorite Print Theme in Lolita

Hello my readers!
Sorry I am late with new LBC theme.
I was super busy on weekend. I visited arcade games museum with my friends and it was pretty awesome! I don´t even know what I did those five hours there! Just playing and playing and playing again. :D The other day I cleaned our flat and baked a chocolate cake for a friend and gugelhupf cake for my boyfriend. :)

Well back to the theme! My favourite prints in lolita... This would be really easy. :)

I will not surprise anybody when I say that my favourite print theme are flowers! It´s not like they all looks the same as somebody could think. The other theme I like very much are victorian wallpaper-like prints, and combination of those two are ultimate love for me. :D All of those prints are the most elegant and most modest and that is what I bring in my mind when thinking about lolita.
Sadly most of those prints are from Victorian Maiden or Mary Magdalene and they make really small sizes only so I have to wait for Innocent World or Metamorphose to release some flower print with no teddy bears or puppies included. I am just too old for cute prints, but flowers... Flowers I can wear forever. :D
The good thing about it is that it´s very easy to find floral fabrics at fabric shops and so you can ask your tailor for one flower dress just for you. :)

So? What do you think... Not very similar right?

Lolita Blog Carnival: 3 Trends You Could Never Get Into

Hello!
I am here with another Lolita Blog Carnival post.
I missed a lot of them this summer and some of them was really interesting so I think of doing them anyway just few weeks later.
Now to the three thrends, that will be kind of obvious for those who knows me at least a little...

Sweet OTT lolita

I love pastels ale cute things but sweet lolita is just way too childish for me and OTT... well you all know how it looks... Those AP hyper cute prints with sweets and toys, plush purses, silly headwear, etc... No, thank you. I kind of like it on other person, but never want to wear it myself.

Halloween lolita

It will be probably because we don´t celebrate this holiday in my country. So all these pumpkin, ghost, spooky prints are just good for nothing here... And buying print that you can wear only one day in whole year? Nope...

Lolita shoes

... especially with block heels. I just hate block heels, they don´t look elegant, not a bit... And almost all of lolita shoes have those... So I prefer regular shoes with spool or cone heels or sometimes even regular stilettos look much better with classic (or gothic, or hime) lolita than granny looking square block heels... ugh. Also I am big-foot lolita and the combination of platform and block heel just look monstrous in my shoe size... not speaking of  bubble shaped toe...

Lolita Blog Carnival: Tips for surviving the summer in Lolita

Hello again,
today I will try to resum some tips for wearing lolita in summer.
I live in middle Europe where it can be a really hot weather in summer months. (Super cold in winter also...)
I am sure that my list will be very similar to other participans in this LBC theme because there are not many ways to keep yourself away from overheating in lolita...

1. No blouse!
Wear OP or JSK with no blouse under it. Better not layering the outfit at all. Less layers less sweat. While wearing JSK you can put just light lace or crotchet bollero over it to keep the no bare shoulders rule.

2. No OTK, knee socks or tights
Hey, they are plenty of cute ankle socks out there, so there is no need of baking your legs. If you have some bruises (as I have most of time because of my clumsy nature) or some old scars (that don´t really look very elegant in classic :D), you need or want to hide, use cute patches. Lace tights are also not so bad choice for summer...

3. No bloomers...
Bloomers are awesome for winter for keeping you warm or keep your panties safe from pervy looks :D in windy days, but in summer they start to be annoymance. Do not wear them! If you have to because you will feel less lolita without them, try to get some short made from really light cotton. Well there is one positive about wearing bloomers in summer... you will not stick to seats in public transportation. :D

4. No wigs
If you can, don´t wear them and better style your own hair. If you have to wear it as I have to, since my hair don´t match my lolita clothes at all and are kinda unshapable (no I don´t know if this word even exist :D) try to style your wig so that at least your neck can stay cool.

5. Use parasols, hats, fans and sunglasses
This is how you can keep away from burning sun and looking fabulous.

My outfit from last year summer meetup.

6. Use sunblock and body splash
Keep your skin safe with right sunblock and cool yourself with some refreshing fruity smelling body splash.

7. Light makeup
I have no idea what brand of makeup you have to wear so it will stay on your face on hot day. Once you start to sweating most of it just run away. Do just light makeup that you can easily recover. If you have some photoshooting on your meetup, bring yourself at least a face powder. Use it before taking photos and you will not be red and shining...

8. Jewellry and accessories
Try to keep the number down. You will sweat under every item and you can damage it because of that.(like your rings will turn black or green, etc.)

Lolita Blog Carnival: Top 3 Wishlist Items

Hello!
I'm participating in another week of the Lolita Blog Carnival! Most of my readers already know, that just now I am in some lolita crisis, but I still like to dream about beautiful dresses.

I have a lot of brand dresses on my wishlist, some of them you can see here in a wishlist I made some time ago (sorry it's written in czech). This wishlist contains only dresses or skirts that I can fit into... which as you can learn, is not a great number. :D Sadly my favourite brand Victorian Maiden and Mary Magdalene are super tiny for me. Well at least my wishlist is smaller and I can safe some money because of my size. :D

Sot there are some other lolita clothes I would love to get in my closet (if I won a milion dolars) :D.  I focus on printed dresses only this time. Well let's see what I choose.

Roman Sweet Secret Audrey JSK in blue by Baby, the stars shine bright

I love the movie Roman holiday and Audrey Hepburn is one of my ultimate fav actress so, how can I possibly not fall in love with this dress? What I love the most about this dress are the real pictures from the film. They may be consider like a regular fandom dress, but still look amazing. :D

Elizabethe - Bride of the Death JSK in black by Alice ans the Pirates

This dress amazed me with its reference to Empress Sissi (Elizabeth of Austria, Czech Queen :)) and Austro-Hungarian Empire, which is very linked with history of my home country. I wish I can have a dress with part of history on it! *_* The design is very beautiful. I love the black-red-gold combination.

Mucha Sleeveles dress in brown and long version by Innocent World

Another czech reference. :) Alfons Mucha is very famous artist and I am one of his admirer too. This dress has great design, plain cut with simple lace decor so the pictures can excel.  Innocent World designers show us that, there is another way to put paintings on dresses and it's a nice way.

And I am still looking for my perfect classic unicorn dress,...
What is on your wishlist?

Lolita Blog Carnival: Pick an animal and make a coordinate around it.

Hello!
How is the weather around the world? The winter just stuck here and I can't enjoy any of my new shoes, because it's too cold for them. I hope it will change soon.

Anyway I decided to write another post for Lolita Blog Carnival. This weeks theme is super fun and I was thinking very much about it. I even asked my boyfriend what would he sugest me... and he said that I should pick a whale.... well I can imagine really cute APsque border print in pastel colours but it will not be really me and I would not wear it ever. :D
And then the dragons pop out in my mind. I know it's not regular animal but very loliable I guess...
And when you can have unicorns or alicorns on prints why not dragons? I would love to get one...

What do you think?

I like painting prints a lot and it would be stunning if someone could put some fantasy paintings on dresses generally. (Indie brands? pretty please?) I am sure there could be some sweet pastel border print with cute baby dragons too but I would totally go for classic/gothic item!

And how would I coordinate such pretty dress? There are plenty dragon themed items out there. But it would become tricky once you start to looking for elven/medieval accessories, which was the first thing that come to my mind. Instantly it would start to remind costumes for renesaince fair, cons and similar occasions. But if you pick wisely you can get awesome dragon outfit.

Lolita Blog Carnival: My Favourite type of accessory

Hello!
This is my first post for Lolita Blog Carnival, where I was accepted last week. So I am excited!
LBC is a community for lolita bloggers and every week there is one given topic, you can write about. If you want to know more or want to join too just click on the Lolita Blog Carnival icon, that I placed on sidebar.

Now to the topic.
There is no way I can choose only one type of accessory. This is one of the thing I love about lolita. There is plenty of options you can adorn.

1. Corsages
Flowers! Flowers everywhere! Artifical flowers, cloth flowers or even real ones it doesn´t matter, they look so pretty. Flowers are pretty much my most used accessory. I own lot of them already but want more!
It´s very simple to get them, they have them everywhere. Just pick your fav colours and you can start some magic with them.
It looks great for more casual look when you have just single one in your hair and for ott look you can arrange all of them in your hair! And if you add some lace, ribbons, veils or just pearls it would look stunning!

2. Bonnets
Bonnets are one of the ultimate lolita accessory. You love them or hate them, there is nothing between. I am definitely the lover! Sadly I own only one bonnet. It´s all black full bonnet. This year I would love to get some straw halfbonnet to match my classic lolita wardrobe.

3. Parasols
Every lolita need to have one! They look fantastic and are even practic. However I am very lazy to carry them all day long in my daily routine. (I don´t even carry my regular folding umbrella :D) So my parasols are waiting for special ocasions like photoshoots ore big meetups. Well to be honest I use them a lot in hot sunny days in summer though I am in my regular clothes.
